Build a Lifesaving Donor Network
We are committed to building a strong, reliable network of volunteer blood donors across Ghana and the global diaspora. By mobilizing communities and reducing barriers to donation, we can ensure that lifesaving blood is available when and where it is needed most.
Education & Awareness
Increasing understanding about the importance of regular blood donation is essential to changing lives. We provide education, resources, and community workshops designed to dispel myths, promote safety, and empower individuals to become informed donors and advocates.
Community Partnerships
Collaboration is key to sustainable change. We work with hospitals, schools, local organizations, and diaspora networks to strengthen the blood supply system and expand access to equitable care for all communities.
Innovative Opportunities
From mobile blood drives to digital volunteer hubs and reward initiatives, we are developing creative ways for people to engage and give back. Together, we make it easier for everyone—anywhere—to contribute to saving lives.
Our Story
“It shouldn’t take a crisis to realize the importance of blood donation.”
Our journey began when our grandmother needed three blood transfusions while hospitalized. To release her, the hospital required that three new donors come and give blood in her place. Our family mobilized urgently to find volunteers — and we witnessed firsthand how stressful and dangerous this system can be. It shouldn’t take a crisis to realize the importance of blood donation. It shouldn’t require desperation to save a life. That is why One Blood Africa was created.
